You may have seen a lot of comments lately on a Colin Firth post that I did ages and ages ago. It seems that the MSN group Colin Firth Fantasy Women have been responding to one of their members posting urging them to "clog my blog". My thanks go out to them, my hit count (which was beginning to drop off alarmingly in some kind of post Christmas slump) is now looking very healthy again and I once more feel loved and wanted. Mind the spoilsport does warn her cohorts "don't click the link to see the bigger picture". Rather takes the fun out of it.

I work for ICM, the company that manages Mr. Firth. I happen to know Mr. Firth personally and would like to state for the record that he is passionatly committed to his wife and children. He remains one of Britain's most respected and admired actors. It is a completely reasonable assumption that Mr. Firth may not appeal to all audiences however, few actors can make that claim. The comments made by "Steve" were at best unwarranted and very, very unkind. Steve might want to take a look and his inner selft as many persons whom strike out at others, typically have esteem issues of their own. Mr. Firth truly appreciates the support of his fans whom are also, by the way, worldwide. He is currently in the US on a press junket for Nanny McPhee. Please be sure to view his appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno 1/18th. Regards -

In an earlier post, it was stated that quite possibly, Mr. Firth was gay. I can state, for the record, that he unequivocally is not gay. I believe it was a post from 'Natalie'. Steve had earlier made some comments that Mr. Firth's face resembled that of a bus. I felt that this was extremely unwarranted and very, very unkind. Personal attacks on someone whom you are not even acquainted is inexcusably rude and very distasteful.

Who are all these people that want Colin Firth's e-mail address? Doesn't he have enough trouble being followed around by the paparazzi? Let the man have some time off in peace. He gives himself whole heartedly to his craft and the many charities he is involved with.
